Each integration is unique in its behavior and capability. For more details about each, please refer to our integration documentation here: https://activate.getlytics.com/resources/documentation
The frequency of how often data is synced with an external, third-party integration depends on the type of integration. Integration updates fall into one of the following three categories:
- On-site Javascript Integration (e.g., Adroll, Facebook Custom Audience [pixel], DFP, Google Analytics, Optimizely) - These integrations receive information as users visit the website. The Lytics Javascript Tag (JStag) detects the presence of these integrations on the webpage, and sends Lytics audiences to the integration. These integrations will receive data only for the users that visit the website after the integration has been set up.
- API-based, daily list updates (e.g., ExactTarget, Mailchimp, Responsys) - These integrations are generally Email Service Provider (ESP) integrations. Lytics can be setup to update a list every 24 hours.
Segment enter/exit trigger updates (e.g. Facebook Custom Audience [email]) - For these integrations, Lytics will send an update every time a user enters or exits the target segment. These integrations always stay up to date.
